Kimberly Sugarman is a law clerk at Weinberger Divorce & Family Law Group, LLC, dedicated to achieving positive outcomes for clients in their divorce, child custody, alimony, domestic violence, DCP&P issues, and related family and matrimonial matters.

Kimberly’s approach to caring for her clients is deeply personal and empathetic, driven by her own experiences of divorce within her family. She understands firsthand the emotional toll divorce and family matters can have, especially on children, and passionately protects her clients’ best interests and those of their children throughout every step of the process.

“Family law is intensely personal,” Kimberly shares. “My clients deserve more than just a lawyer; they need someone who understands their pain, shares their concerns, and fiercely advocates for their rights and their children’s well-being.” This empathy, combined with her deep legal knowledge, makes her a strong ally for her clients, providing them with both compassionate support and creative, determined legal advocacy.

Knowing that family law issues are often urgent and time-sensitive, especially when children are involved, Kimberly makes herself available to clients whenever they need her, whether it’s to handle an emergency situation in or out of court or to provide a listening ear and practical legal advice when it matters most. Kimberly’s clients trust that they are never alone and their needs and concerns are her number one priority.

Kimberly honed her skill in family law during her clerkship with the Hon. Lawrence Maron, J.S.C., at the Chancery Division, Family Part, Passaic Vicinage. There, she gained invaluable experience handling complex matrimonial, domestic violence, and non-dissolution cases, giving her an in-depth understanding of effective litigation and mediation strategies. Her extensive work across various family law dockets and in multiple judges’ chambers has equipped her with a unique insight into the judicial process and made her a formidable advocate for her clients.

With her extensive mediation experience, Kimberly effectively resolves disputes without the need for court intervention whenever possible, saving her clients time, stress, and money. Her strong connections within the Judiciary and legal community further enhance her ability to navigate the legal landscape on behalf of her clients.

Kimberly earned her Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law, where she actively participated in the Women’s Law Forum, First Generation Law Student Association, and the Entertainment & Sports Law Society.

Outside of the office, Kimberly enjoys watching sports, cooking and baking, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
