Following her clerkship, Ms. Mari began practicing matrimonial and family law here in New Jersey and has successfully handled a variety of cases including divorce, child custody and support, domestic violence and adoptions since then. She also has experience with residential real estate matters such as closings, short sales, mortgage and loan refinancing and modifications. This combination of experience is invaluable, especially to divorcing families who must determine how to best divide their home during a divorce.
Ms. Mari was the 2010 recipient of the CALI award in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution and she served as the Topics Editor (2009-2010) and Editor (2008-2009) of the Journal of Environmental and Public Health Law. She also served as Vice President of the Pitt Law Women’s Society and is currently a member of the Monmouth County Bar Association, Young Lawyers’ Division. She also is a member of the Family Section of the New Jersey State Bar and has completed the Hayden Proctor Inns of Court.
Ms. Mari has always wanted to help others, and she continues to bring great compassion to her law practice. While in her third year of law school, she participated in the family law clinic where she represented indigent clients in all types of family law matters, at little to no cost to them. Today, she continues to strive to help others while they are going through a difficult process, be it a divorce or a custody battle, or anything in between.
Ms. Mari’s other areas of practice include mediation, division of assets or debts, emancipation of adult children, parenting time and visitation, grandparents’ rights and relocation out of New Jersey with children.
